Park machine safely. (See Parking Safely in the SAFETY section.)

CAUTION: Avoid injury! The machine can fall or slip from an
unsafe lifting device or supports.

Use a safe lifting device rated for the load to be lifted.

Lower machine onto jack stands or other stable supports and
block wheels before servicing.
IMPORTANT: Avoid damage! Place jack stands under frame, not
under transmission or engine, when raising or supporting machine
Raise machine with a safe lifting device and lower machine onto
jack stands or other stable supports. Block wheels remaining on the
ground to prevent machine movement

If present, remove cap before removing wheel.
Remove the wheel bolts (A).

Remove the wheel assembly.

Inspect brake pads friction material (B) for wear or damage.
Check each pads friction material thickness. Material must not be
less than minimum specification. If below specification or brake pad
friction material is damaged, see your John Deere dealer for replacement
service.

Install wheel assembly with valve stem to the outside.

Tighten wheel bolts evenly in alternating sequence until snug.

Repeat procedure for remaining three wheels.

Lower machine to the ground.

Tighten wheel bolts to:

Standard wheel assembly: 108 N·m (80 lb.-ft.)

Sport wheel assembly: 142 N·m (105 lb.-ft.)
