Testing Hopper Presence Switch

Test 1

1. Park machine safely. (See Parking Safely in the SAFETY section.)

2. Remove hopper or rear discharge kit.

3. Start engine.

4. Move throttle lever to maximum speed position.

5. Unlock park brake

6. Engage PTO switch.

Result: PTO should not engage. PTO symbol on dash should flash.

Test 2

1. Park machine safely. (See Parking Safely in the SAFETY section.)

2. Start engine.

3. Do not sit in seat.

4. Remove hopper or rear discharge kit.

Result: Engine should stop. If engine does not stop, there is a problem with your safety interlock circuit.
