Removing and Installing Discharge Chute

Removing

1. CAUTION: Avoid Injury! Do not attempt to unplug attachment with machine running.

   • Rotating blades are dangerous. Shut off the engine and remove the key before getting off the seat to inspect the machine and attachment.
   • Thrown objects can cause serious injury. Make sure all machine parts are stopped before raising hopper top or removing chutes.
   
   

   Park machine safely. (See Parking Safely in the Safety section).

2. Remove grass collector. (See Removing Grass Collector.)

3. Depress chute stops (A) inward and pull chute rearward out of backplate.

Installing

1. Install discharge chute into backplate.

2. Align lower end of discharge chute to fit over mower deck outlet.

3. Install discharge chute. Make sure chute stops are against backplate.

4. Pull on chute to verify it is properly locked in place

5. Install grass collector. (See Installing Grass Collector.)

6. Set mower cutting height knob to desired setting.
