Changing Engine Oil and Filter

1. IMPORTANT: Change the oil more often if the vehicle is used in extreme conditions:

   • Extremely dusty conditions.
   • Frequent slow or low-speed operation.
   • Frequent short trips.
   
   

   Run engine a few minutes to warm oil.

2. Park machine safely. (See Parking Safely in the SAFETY Section.)

3. Turn off engine.

4. Raise hood.

   Remove oil drain hose (A) from inside frame on front of machine to allow draining into pan.

6. Put drain pan under oil drain hose.

7. Loosen drain plug bolt (B) and allow oil to drain completely.

8. Return oil drain hose to inside of frame.

9. Tighten drain plug bolt.

    Clean dirt from around oil filter (C).

11. Put drain pan under filter drip tray hose (D).

12. Turn oil filter counterclockwise with a filter wrench to remove.

13. Put a light coat of clean engine oil on gasket of new filter.

14. Install replacement oil filter by turning oil filter clockwise until gasket contacts filter base. Tighten filter an additional one-half turn.

    Remove oil filler cap (E) on right side of machine. Add specified amount of oil.

16. Install and tighten filler cap.

17. Start and run engine at idle to check for leaks.

18. Stop engine. Fix any leaks before operating.

19. Check engine oil level. Add oil if necessary.
