Machine Setup

It is recommended to install 4-ply tires on your machine for heavy duty sweeping operation. See your machine operator’s manual.

1. Remove mower deck.

2. Check tractor tire pressures.

3. Close SCV lockout valve before installing broom.

   Tire	Pressure
   Front	150 kPa (22 psi)
   Rear	41—70 kPa (6—10 psi)

Installing Ballast

Avoid Injury! When the attachment is removed, also remove any ballast that was added to the machine. Use only attachments and accessories recommended by the manufacturer.

Required ballast: two wheel weights. Recommended ballast: rear weight bracket or weight box with ten suitcase weights (with these options wheel weights are not needed.)

If added traction is required while operating broom:

• Install chains on drive tires.
• Use traction assist.
• Install wheel weights on drive wheels or install rear weight bracket or weight box with suitcase weights.

Closing SCV Lockout Valve

1. Remove mower deck.

2. Turn lift adjustment stop dial on mower to highest position.

3. Start engine. Raise mower lift arms completely using upper hydraulic control lever.

4. Park machine safely (See Parking Safely in Safety Section).

   Turn SCV lockout valve (A) clockwise completely to close valve. This prevents hydraulic flow to mower and rear implement lift and directs full pressure to broom hydraulic circuits for best performance.
