Engaging Broom

  1. Avoid injury! Make sure all shields and guards are installed.

    Wear eye protection while operating.

    Keep bystanders away from rotating broom.

    Always be aware of broom discharge direction and foreign objects which could be thrown.

    Use the slowest effective brush speed to reduce risk of thrown objects.

    See your tractor operator’s manual for detailed information on controls.

    Start tractor engine.

  2. Set tractor throttle lever to an approximate one-third position.

  3. Engage mid-PTO.

  4. Move throttle lever to operating speed appropriate for job application.


Disengaging Broom

  1. Set tractor level to an approximate one-third speed position.

  2. Disengage mid-PTO.
