Connecting PTO Shaft

  1. Avoid Injury! Stay clear of rotating PTO shafts. Stop the engine and be sure the PTO shaft is stopped before getting near it.

    Avoid Damage! Failure to lock the PTO shaft support into the storage position will cause damage to the PTO shaft and support.

    Lift PTO shaft from PTO shaft support (A)

    Place PTO shaft support (A) in storage position (B) as shown

    Pull back collar (A) on PTO shaft coupler.


  4. Align coupler splines with splines on PTO output shaft (B). Slide coupler onto PTO output shaft until collar snaps back into locked position.

  5. Move PTO shaft forward and rearward to verify that it is locked in place.
