Install PTO Shaft

  1. Avoid damage! Broom is supplied with two sizes of shear bolts 6.4 cm (2.5 in.) and 5 cm (2 in.) for different applications. Do not use the 64 mm (2.5 in.) shear bolts with this PTO shaft.

    Use of wrong shear bolt can damage the gearbox.

    Remove one 5 cm (2 in.) shear bolt and lock nut stored in brush contact adjustment assembly (A).

    Slide PTO shaft (A) onto broom stubshaft.


  3. Align holes in PTO shaft with holes in stubshaft. Install shear bolt (B) through holes with locknut (C). Tighten locknut completely.
