Removing Snowblower

1. Park machine safely. (See Parking Safely in Safety section.)

2. CAUTION: Avoid injury! Attachment can lower rapidly.

   Attachment is heavy and can crush. Keep bystanders, especially children, away when lowering attachment.

   Support raised attachment with a mechanical stop or lower completely to the ground before servicing.

   Raise and block-up the snowblower.

3. Remove drive belt from machine drive sheave.

4. Remove block and lower snowblower.

   A - Knob

   B - Chute and Spout Bracket

   C - Rotation Handle Bracket

   Remove knob (A), and retaining hardware securing chute and discharge spout bracket (B) to rotation handle bracket (C). Install knob and hardware back into bracket (B) for storage, then pivot bracket with chute and discharge spout controls away from machine.

   F - Hitch, Front Attachment

   To remove just the snowblower, pull out spring-loaded pins (D) on each side. Pull snowblower assembly up to disengage two pins (E) from slots at top of hitch (F). Remove snowblower from machine, and pivot or tilt chute and discharge spout controls out of the way for storage.

7. Make sure that the lift arms are lowered all the way down.

   I - Bracket, Rear Lift

   Remove the lift links:

   1. Remove spring locking pins (G) that attach the swivel bosses (H) onto bracket (I).

   2. Disengage the lift links from the rear lift bracket.

      J - Cotter Pin, Self-Locking

      K - Lift Link

      L - Hitch, Front Attachment

      Remove self-locking cotter pins (J) that attach the lift links (K) to the hitch (L).

   4. Remove the lift links.

   5. Set the lift link assemblies aside.

   N - Pin, Front Draft

   Remove the hitch:

   1. Remove spring locking pin (M) and pin (N).

   2. Set the front hitch aside.

      NOTE: Install front draft pin and spring locking pin in front hitch assembly for storage.

    O - Cotter Pin, Self-Locking

    P - Bracket, Rear Lift

    Q - Pin, Clevis

    Remove rear lift bracket:

    1. Remove self-locking cotter pins (O) attaching bracket (P) to the lift arms.

    2. Support the rear lift bracket from the bottom, remove pins (Q) attaching bracket to right-hand lift arm.

    3. Remove the rear lift bracket from the left-hand lift arm.

    4. To keep them together for storage, reinstall the two free pins and four self-locking cotter pins onto the rear lift bracket.

11. Remove any weights that were installed when preparing machine.
