Adjusting Suspension (Standard Shocks)


Preload Adjustment

When to Adjust:

  • Front preload adjustment - increase preload if operating with front attachment or under heavy load condition.
  • Rear preload adjustment - increase preload if operating under heavy load condition.

How to Adjust:

  1. Park the machine safely. (See Parking Safely in SAFETY.)

  2. Block tire not intended to be lifted off the ground.

  3. Raise the machine with a safe lifting device and lower machine onto jack stands or other stable support.

    Using the supplied spanner wrench, securely engage the adjustable preload collar (A) on shock. Rotate preload collar to desired preload condition making sure to engage detent feature (B) between shock and preload collar.



  5. CAUTION: Be sure both front shock preload collars are set to the same position. Be sure both rear shock preload collars are set to the same position.

    Repeat this operation on all shocks as needed.
