Checking 4WD and 4WD+Differential Lock Engagement

1. Park the machine safely. (See Parking Safely in SAFETY.)

2. Allow engine to cool.

3. Raise hood.

4. Remove storage tray.

5. Raise and secure cargo box with latch support.

   Check 4WD engagement:

   1. With the 2WD/4WD lever in 2WD position, the MFWD shift lever (A) must return to the ‘home’ position (internal spring), without slack in the cable.

   2. If adjustment is required, loosen or tighten the adjuster nuts (B) so that there is no slack in the cable, without moving the MFWD lever.

   Check rear lock engagement:

   1. With the 2WD/4WD lever in 4WD position, the rear lock lever (C) on the transaxle must return to the ‘home’ position, without slack in the cable.

   2. If adjustment is required, loosen or tighten the adjuster nuts (D) so that there is no slack in the cable, without moving the differential lock lever.

8. Lower cargo box.

9. Install storage tray.

10. Close hood.
