Removing Cargo Box

CAUTION: Avoid injury! Do not attempt removal of the cargo box without using the latch support.

Empty all material from the cargo box before removing.

1. Empty the cargo box.

2. Park the machine safely. (See Parking Safely in SAFETY.)

   On machines with a power cargo box lift, disconnect power lift:

   1. Fully raise cargo box, and lower latch support (A) downward.

   2. Lower cargo box with latch support onto frame (B).

   3. Remove top cylinder pin and spring locking pin (C), and lower top of lift cylinder (D) downward.

   4. Install cylinder pin and spring locking pin back into the lift cylinder for storage.

   5. Raise latch support and fully lower cargo box.

4. CAUTION: Avoid injury! Machine component or attachment is heavy. To help lift, install, or remove component or attachment, use a safe lifting device or get an assistant.

   Remove nuts (E) and bolts (F). Remove cargo box from machine.

5. Install bolts and nuts back into machine brackets for storage.

Installing Cargo Box

1. Remove bolts and nuts stored in brackets at the rear of the machine.

2. CAUTION: Avoid injury! Machine component or attachment is heavy. To help lift, install, or remove component or attachment, use a safe lifting device or get an assistant.

   Carefully position cargo box on top of machine frame with a safe lifting device.

   Align cargo box tabs and brackets at the rear of the machine. Attach rear of cargo box to the frame with bolts (A) and nuts (B).

4. CAUTION: Avoid injury! Make sure that cargo box is safely supported in the raised position before connecting the lift cylinder to the bottom of the cargo box.

   On machines with a power cargo box lift, connect power lift:

   1. Fully raise cargo box and lower latch support (C) downward.

   2. Lower cargo box with latch support onto frame (D).

   3. Remove spring locking pin and cylinder pin stored in the lift cylinder.

   4. Install top of lift cylinder (E) to bracket on cargo box and secure with cylinder pin (F) and spring locking pin.

   5. Raise latch support and fully lower cargo box.
