Help prevent serious injury or death from an electrical
shock or electrocution. This utility vehicle is equipped with a 48
volt electrical system which is capable of passing high voltage electrical
current. Always use extreme caution when servicing the battery set
in this vehicle.
-
Explosive mixtures of hydrogen gas are present within battery
cells. DO NOT service or charge vehicle batteries in an area where
open flames, sparks, cigarettes, or any other source of combustion
are present.
-
Only trained technicians or owners that have knowledge and experience
with electrical maintenance should repair or service this vehicle.
-
Use extreme caution when using tools, wires or metal objects
near batteries. A short circuit and/or spark could cause an explosion.
Wrap tools with vinyl tape to prevent shorting out of batteries.
-
Remove all jewelry (watches, rings, bracelets, etc.) before
servicing the electrical system or batteries.
-
Make sure the work area is well ventilated if it is necessary
to operate or charge the vehicle in an enclosed area.
-
Always wear approved eye protection while servicing the vehicle.
Wear a full face shield, rubber gloves and rubber apron when servicing
the batteries.
-
Replace worn, damaged, or broken parts immediately.

DO NOT touch battery terminals, connectors, or wires that are
not insulated.
-
Always refer to the Battery Position/Connection diagram before
and during battery installation and making the electrical connections.
-
Battery connections are both marked and color coded. Always
verify that the RED boots cover the POSITIVE (+) battery terminals
and wire terminal are on the battery POSITIVE (B+) terminal. Always
verify that the BLACK boots cover the NEGATIVE (-) battery terminals
and wire terminal are on the battery NEGATIVE (B-) terminal. Failure
to properly connect battery wiring could cause batteries to short
