Checking and Adjusting Steering Cylinder

1. Turn steering wheel to "full turn" position in one direction.

2. Measure distance between steering knuckle (A) and end of axle bolt (B).

3. Turn steering wheel in opposite direction to "full turn" position and measure distance on opposite side of machine.

4. Compare right-hand and left-hand measurements; they should be the same.

5. If needed, adjust steering cylinder to center linkage for straight ahead travel and equal turning. Cylinder rod should measure 108 mm (4.25 In.) (A) at mid-stroke (wheels straight ahead).
