Change Planetary Hub Oil Level-First 50 Hours and Annually

IMPORTANT: Planetary hubs are initially filled with break-in oil. Change planetary hub oil after first 50 hours use and every year thereafter.

1. Park machine on level surface with plug (B) at nine o'clock position.

2. Remove plug (A) to drain oil from planetary hub. Apply John Deere Pipe Sealant with TEFLON ® , or equivalent, to threads of plug. Install plug.

3. Remove plug (B) and fill to bottom of level hole with specified final drive oil. See FUELS AND LUBRICANTS section for specification. Apply John Deere Pipe Sealant with TEFLON ® , or equivalent, to threads of plug. Install plug.
