Adjusting Tractor for Machine

causym CAUTION: PTO rotates at a high rate of speed and can cause serious injury or death to you or others. Make sure PTO guard and master shield are both installed on tractor to avoid entanglement.

IMPORTANT: Your machine is equipped with International Standard Organization (ISO) hydraulic hose couplers. If your tractor is not compatible, see your John Deere dealer.

1. Set tractor wheels (A) for desired row spacing so wheels are centered between the rows. See your tractor Operator's Manual for proper tire inflation.

2. If necessary, place drawbar (C) in side position or remove it.

3. Adjust lift links (D) to minimal length (except with lift-assist).

IMPORTANT: Damage to tractor cab can occur if frame gauge wheels are improperly positioned. Raise machine slowly and check that frame gauge wheels do not contact cab when machine is in raised and folded position.

Damage to tractor and machine can occur if sway blocks are improperly positioned. Place sway blocks in upper position.

4. See your tractor Operator's Manual for proper positioning of sway blocks (B).
