Frame Gauge Wheels

Locate each pair of wheels and equal distance from the center of the mainframe.

The wheels should run outside of the tractor tires.

Tighten wheel bolts and bearings after the first week of operation, and periodically thereafter.

If float is desired, install gauge wheels on the wings.

Gauge wheels (B) are required on the center frame (A) when lift-assist wheel attachment is used.

IMPORTANT: Model 430 (12R30) and Model 440 (12R40) rotary hoes with gauge wheels on center frame, require a spacer (C) on center frame when used with a tractor equipped with dual wheels. If machine is not equipped with spacers, see your John Deere dealer.
