Guidelines for Use
1.
Use recommended size tractor. (See your John Deere dealer for tractor/hoe compatibility as listed in the Agriculture Sales Manual.)
2.
Work at a recommended speed of 8-13 km/h (5-8 mph) for best tillage results. In rocky conditions, reduce speed.
3.
Raise the machine out of the ground when making turns.
4.
Do not back up with machine in the ground.
5.
Follow instructions for leveling machine, side-to-side and front-to-rear. (See Leveling Machine Frame in this section.)
6.
Be sure tractor has proper ballast.
7.
NEVER operate machine in the field with wings in transport position.
8.
Always lower wings on level ground. If level ground is not accessible, position the front of the machine either directly up the slope or down the slope BEFORE lowering the wings.
9.
ALWAYS raise lift-assist wheel when operating the machine in the field position.
10.
Be sure tires are properly inflated.
