Rockshaft control system is electrically powered and can be enabled only when key switch is in ON/RUN position. Rockshaft can be lowered without starting engine, if desired.
When first powered (turning key ON or starting engine), control system is "reset". If rockshaft control lever setting matches actual rockshaft position, system is enabled. If not matched, rockshaft will not follow lever movement, nor will rockshaft respond to draft load changes. Rockshaft will respond only to external raise/lower switch and upper height limit control (if hitch is over half way up). Do one of the following to enable system:
1.
Move rockshaft control lever to match actual rockshaft position. When matched, system is "enabled" and rockshaft will follow lever movement.
2.
Move raise/lower limit switch and/or rockshaft control lever to full raise or lower position, as

desired. Rockshaft will move toward selected position. When rockshaft reaches full up or down, system is "enabled".
System is also "reset" when external raise/lower switch is used or load/depth mix control is turned across detent to change operating mode ("position" to "draft" control or "draft" to "position" control). To enable system, use same procedure as used in initial power-up.
Rockshaft control system monitors output of its controls and sensors. If output from controls and sensors exceed what is normally expected, system disables that control or sensor and is "reset". A system malfunction may be identified if "resets" occur for reasons other than key switch use, external raise/lower switch use, or operating mode changes. See your John Deere dealer.
