Following Safe Transport Procedures

causym CAUTION: When transporting the machine on a road or highway at night or during the day, use accessory lights and devices for adequate warning to operators of other vehicles. Check local governmental regulations. Various safety devices are available from your John Deere dealer. Keep safety items in good condition. Replace missing or damaged items.

1. Be sure SMV (slow moving vehicle) symbol (B), reflectors (C) and (D), and warning lights (A) are clean, visible and in good condition.

2. Use adequate front ballast. See Preparing the Machine section in this manual.

3. Beware of overhead wires and narrow gates. Know the transport height and width of your cultivator. (See Specifications section.)

4. Never exceed 16 km/h (10 mph), and reduce speed over rough or uneven terrain, slopes, and when turning.

causym CAUTION: If wing fold cylinder(s) are removed, chain wings together to prevent injury or death caused by accidental falling of wing(s).

5. NEVER raise or lower wings while machine is in motion.
