Level the V-Ripper laterally with gauge wheels. (See ADJUSTING MECHANICAL GAUGE WHEELS in this section.)
Lateral leveling on V-Rippers not equipped with gauge wheels is controlled by the lift links on the tractor hitch.
NOTE:
Set both right- and left-hand lift links at the same length as described in tractor Operator's Manual. Also, set the lift links to the "no float" position.

Keep the V-Ripper frame parallel with the ground and all standards at the same depth.
After the standards have entered the ground to their set working depth, stop the tractor and stand behind the V-Ripper to see if the frame is parallel with the ground.
If the frame is not parallel with the ground, raise the V-Ripper and adjust tractor lift links until V-Ripper is level.
