Clean off any dirt accumulated on moving parts to prevent abrasion and excessive wear.
Inspect the V-Ripper thoroughly for loose parts and adjust if necessary.

Lubricate machine. (See Lubrication and Maintenance section.)
Inspect the shear bolt in the shear-bolt coulters. Replace if necessary.
