Requires 19-34 kw (25-45 hp) at PTO per standard, depending on soil, depth of operation, and speed. For example, a ripper equipped with 7 standards would require 133-238 kw (175›315 hp).
IMPORTANT:
Some tractor models have inadequate hitch lift capacity for operating certain coulter-equipped ripper configurations, even though their PTO power ratings fall within the recommended range.
The following tractors should not be used with coulter-equipped 7 x 7 in.

4560 and 4760 tractors should not be used with 7 or more safety trip or spring-reset rock standards.
The 4960 should not be used with 7 or more spring-reset rock standards, or with 9 or more safety trip standards.
The 8570 should not be used with 11 or more spring-reset rock standards.
