Install DOUBLE-LOC™ Sweeps (C-Shank Only)

NOTE: Cap screw heads will fit inside adapter front groove.

1. Position adapter (A) on shank (B).

2. Retain with cap screws (C), flat washers, lock washers, and nuts.

CAUTION: Sweep edges can be sharp enough to cut, causing injury. Wear protective gloves while handling sharp-edged sweeps.

NOTE: Some sweeps will roll on adapter from one side only; it may be necessary to tap sweep stem on one side to wrap it on adapter.

Lower adapter flare is designed to protect against loss if sweep comes loose from its normal operating position when a shank recoils during field operation. It will not prevent sweep loss in transport.

3. Align sweep (A) with adapter (B) where their curves match. Roll sweep on adapter and push upward by hand (as far as possible) until sweep engages taper on adapter.

4. Using a large, heavy hammer (C), drive sweep up on adapter an additional 6 mm (1/4 in.).
