Checking C-Shank Assembly Tightness
IMPORTANT:
Sweep damage to tires may occur when using larger sweeps. Move standard or cut off part of sweep to prevent interference with a tire.
U-bolts must be tightened EVENLY, so standard is square on frame.
Loose hardware and/or broken brackets can result if all four contact points (A) are not touching frame when tightened.
Check for correct tightness after 10 hours of use. Tighten to correct torque, if necessary.
NOTE:
For deeper sweep penetration in wheel tracks, install sweep extender (C-shank only). (See INSTALLING SWEEP EXTENDER in this section.)

Partially tighten U-bolt (B) top nut.
2.
Tighten U-bolt bottom nut to specification. Then, tighten U-bolt top nut to specification.
