Preparing Hydraulic System-John Deere 8000/9000 and 8020/9020 Series Tractors

1. Check hydraulic oil level. Fill, if necessary.

2. SCV I-DEPTH CONTROL: Press SCV I selector button (A) and turn flow control knob (B) to fast (rabbit) position. Turn time detent knob (C) until display reads five seconds. This can be increased or decreased depending on actual time required to lift and lower machine.

3. SCV II-WING-FOLD/UNFOLD: Press SCV II selector button (D) and turn flow control knob (B) to fast (rabbit) position. Turn time detent knob (C) until display reads 19 seconds. If this is not enough time to completely fold/unfold wings, time detent knob may be set to CONTINUOUS. However, tractor hydraulic pump will continue to operate after fold/unfold cylinders have stopped moving. This is normal and not harmful, but shutting off pump by moving SCV lever to any position after lever has returned to NEUTRAL is recommended.

4. SCV III-HYDRAULIC FRONT-END FRAME HOLD-DOWN ATTACHMENT: Press SCV III selector button (E) and turn flow control knob (B) to fast (rabbit) position. Turn time detent knob (C) until display reads CONTINUOUS.
