Adjusting Hydraulic Front-End Frame Hold-Down Pressure

IMPORTANT: Check that tires are inflated to correct pressure before leveling frame. Perform following procedure on a level surface.

1. Loosen knob lock ring.

2. Turn valve adjustment knob (A) counter-clockwise several turns.

3. Operate SCV I lever (B) to raise machine to full-up position.

4. Move SCV III lever (C) to detent position.

John Deere 8000/9000 Series Tractors Only -Adjust time setting to CONTINUOUS.

NOTE: For John Deere 7000 Series tractors, install SCV lever lock clips or rubber stop to hold SCV lever in detent.

5. To obtain proper amount of down pressure on front stabilizer wheels, turn adjustment knob clockwise until stabilizer wheels touch ground. Turn adjustment knob an additional full turn after wheels touch ground, and tighten knob lock ring.

NOTE: If stabilizer wheels do not stay on ground in all conditions, increase pressure by turning adjustment knob clockwise an additional one or two turns.
