Setting Single Point Depth Control

causym CAUTION: Do not adjust machine while in motion. Falling off of a moving machine can result in serious injury or death.

IMPORTANT: Set tractor flow control to fast position.

1. With machine stopped and sweeps at operating depth, turn crank (A) until crank end contacts and slightly depresses valve plunger. Each full crank turn adjusts depth setting by 3 mm (1/8 in.). Install flat washers (B) (if necessary) to align valve plunger with crank center.

NOTE: For consistent single point performance, always move tractor lever rapidly from NEUTRAL to LOWER position.

2. With machine moving forward, pull SCV I lever (A) rearward, and then push forward to confirm that machine stops lowering at desired depth setting, as shown on depth indicator.

IMPORTANT: When pressure by-pass hose is connected to open SCV, place SCV lever in FLOAT position for precise depth control. FLOAT position opens a low pressure drain path to relieve pressure build-up off depth control circuit.

3. Immediately after machine lowers to operating depth set by single point depth control, wing (slave) depth control cylinders will momentarily retract an additional 6.4-19.5 mm (1/4-3/4 in.) before pressure reduction circuit relieves excess pressure. (See OPERATING DEPTH CONSISTENCY in this section.)
