Symptom Problem Solution

System will not power up.

ROW-TRAK controller not getting power.

Units not operating. Engage.

Check fuses.

Check harness.

ON/OFF switch installed incorrectly.

Install switch so pins "4, 5, 6" are towards side window and dark blue wire of connector is at pin "6".

System will not enter "CAL" mode.

CAL/Learn switch installed incorrectly.

Install switch so pins "4, 5, 6" are towards side window and yellow wire of connector is at pin "6".

CCD BUS circuit faulty.

Check CCD Bus wiring between ROW-TRAK controller and tachometer.

Height range set too high or too low.

Adjust 37.

Symptom Problem Solution

System will not perform valve bias.

Will not release from "236" display on tachometer.

Run engine above 1800 rpm.

Check pressure switch and adjust if necessary.

Guide wheels not centered.

Center guide wheels prior to starting. Check channel "8" to make sure valve is within range.

ROW-TRAK plumbed incorrectly.

Confirm steering using channel "6" and check plumbing.

ROW-TRAK wired incorrectly.

Confirm using channel "6" and check wiring.

Left-hand and right-hand steering signal switched. Swap red and brown wire in platform harness connector.

Rear wheel sensor bad or misaligned.

Confirm sensor is good and position with wheels centered within an acceptable range using channel "8" and adjusting inner cup position as needed.

Rear wheel sensor wired incorrectly.

Verify wiring on sensor harness. Pin "A" - Black; Pin "B" › White; Pin "C" › Red

System will not perform a learn.

Learn procedure not done correctly.

Re-check learn procedure.

Valve bias not performed.

Perform valve bias.

Crop sensor out of range.

Check using channel "7".

Will not start "learn" when auto-start switch pressed.

System will not engage into "auto-steer."

Engine not at proper speed.

Run engine above 1800 rpm.

Ground speed too fast.

Operate below 11 km/h (7 mph).

Pressure switch open.

Check pressure switch and adjust if necessary.

Guide wheels oscillate when system is engaged.

"Gain/Ratio" numbers incorrect.

Access channels 1 and 2. Adjust values. Gain (channel "1") = "55"; Ratio (channel "2") = "12"

Machine wanders constantly from side-to-side.

"Gain" or "ratio" values incorrect.

Access channels 1 and 2. Adjust values. Gain (channel "1") = "55"; Ratio (channel "2") = "12"

Proportional valve faulty.

Replace.

Crop sensor does not swing freely side-to-side.

Check for pivot wear or obstructions in crop sensor.

Crop sensor rods not tight or properly adjusted.

Tighten attaching hardware. Make sure sensor plates are 13 mm (1/2 in.) apart.

Rear wheel sensor loose.

Make sure rear wheel sensor inner cup is in correct position and tight.

Make sure mounting hardware is tight.

Machine drives straight but not centered on row.

Offset sensor needs adjustment.

Adjust offset sensor to center machine on row.

Machine occasionally wanders from side-to-side or off the row.

Guide wheel toe-in incorrect.

Adjust.

Proportional valve faulty.

Replace.

Crop sensor wired incorrectly.

Verify wiring on sensor harness. Pin "A" › Red; Pin "B" › White; Pin "C" › Black

Machine steers in one direction continuously.

Crop sensor is bound in position.

Check for pivot wear and/or remove obstructions.

Potential hydraulic or electrical failure in steering system.

Go to channel "6" and verify.

Automatic manual steering override hard to activate or activates at slightest steering wheel movement.

Adjustable pressure switch out-of-adjustment.

Adjust pressure switch.
