Towing Short Distances

causym CAUTION: Machine is heavy and can cause serious injury or death to you or others if it goes out of control. Never tow faster than 32 km/h (20 mph). If possible tow machine with engine running and have someone operate steering and brakes.

Energy stored in towing device could cause serious bodily injury if it should break. Always use a suitable chain. Do not exceed breaking strength. Do not mix chain with tow straps or ropes.

1. Release park brake.

IMPORTANT: Place transmission lever and hydro lever in NEUTRAL to avoid machine damage.

2. Shift transmission lever (A) and hydro lever (B) to NEUTRAL.

3. Raise header and lower service locks.

4. Attach tow chains to frame members at rear of machine. Use a steady pull on chain. DO NOT JERK.
