Static ROW-TRAK™ Learn

Static ROW-TRAK ™ Learn is to be used where straight rows are not available. Static Learn teaches machine what is center of row, based on one position of front probe and one position of guide wheels.

NOTE: Factory or dealer installation includes a Static Learn for initial set-up. Performing a Field Learn at start of season is recommended. This is not a daily operation. "Operating ROW-TRAK ™ " in this section provides more detail on when to perform a Learn.

Perform a diagnostic check of machine when it is in a stationary position to prepare machine to harvest curved rows when Field Learn cannot be performed on straight rows. Perform following steps:

1. Drive machine in a straight line to orient guide tires for procedure. Stop machine on a level surface. Place gearshift lever in neutral, and apply parking brake.

2. Lower header and units to harvesting position.

3. Verify guide wheels are pointing straight forward.

4. Center front probe sensor on stripping unit.

5. With units switch (E) engaged and ROW-TRAK ™ "On/Off" switch (B) turned "On", raise engine speed above 1800 rpm.

6. Center "Offset" knob (D).

7. Push and hold CAL/LEARN switch (C) in CALIBRATE position (push down on upper half of switch) until ROW-TRAK ™ starts beeping slowly (about 2 seconds) and ROW-TRAK ™ light begins to flash slowly.

NOTE: Steering is not required during this diagnostic check procedure.

8. Push auto engage button (A) on hydro lever. Horn will now beep more rapidly for about 45 seconds, and ROW-TRAK ™ light will flash faster. ROW-TRAK ™ will learn position of crop sensor and feedback sensor during this procedure. These learned sensor positions define straight ahead direction of guide wheels and center of row for ROW-TRAK ™ controller.

9. ROW-TRAK ™ will stop beeping fast and horn will sound when it is done learning.

10. If during operation, machine is not centered on row, "Offset" knob can be turned left or right to modify learn center value and steer machine properly on row.
