Setting Strip Roll Timing

Remove shield. (See REMOVING UNIT SHIELDS-FRONT and REMOVING UNIT SHIELDS-REAR in this section.)

Remove four shoulder bolts (A), springs and nuts.

3.
Slide plate (A), hub (B) and flange (C) to the other side of shaft.

4.
Remove lock nut (A), washer (B), four flange head cap screws (C) and bevel gear.

5.
Remove strip roll gear (A).

6.
Turn strip rolls to desired setting. Recommended setting is bat (A) to brush (B). Bat to bat will provide more aggressive harvesting.

7.
As roll is being turned over, paddles (A) and auger paddles (B) must be facing in same direction. Remove brush or auger gear and set timing again, if necessary.

8.
Install in reverse order as removed using the following special instructions.

Tighten strip roll gear lock nut (A) to specification.

9.
Repeat procedure for all units and set each unit same.
