Changing Hydraulic/Hydrostatic Filters

1. Drain oil from reservoir.

2. Remove spin-on filter element (A).

3. Apply hydraulic oil to element seal and install on filter head. Hand tighten element until seal contacts head, then tighten an additional 1/2-turn.

4. Remove nuts and reservoir end plate.

5. Replace filter (A).

6. Remove, clean and install both screens (B) (one-of-two shown).

7. Install end plate with nuts.

8. Refill reservoir until sight glass is half-full. (See HYDRAULIC/HYDROSTATIC OILS in Lubrication and Maintenance section. See Specifications section for reservoir oil capacity.)

9. Start engine and operate system.

NOTE: Header must be lowered when checking reservoir level.

10. Re-check level in sight glass and add oil if necessary.
