Field ROW-TRAK Learn
Field ROW-TRAK
Learn is to be performed on straight rows. This teaches machine where center of row is and "straight ahead" position of guide wheels, based on operator's steering of machine. Field Learn is preferred over Static Learn method.
NOTE:
Factory or dealer installation includes a Static Learn for initial set-up. Performing a Field Learn at start of season is recommended. This is not a daily operation. "Operating ROW-TRAK
" in this section provides more details on when to perform a Learn.
1.
With fan/unit (E) and ROW-TRAK
switch (B) turned "On", go to beginning of row to be harvested.
2.
Center the "Offset" knob (D).
3.
Sit squarely on seat.
4.
Operate engine at fast idle.
5.
Push and hold CAL/LEARN switch (C) in CALIBRATE position (push down on upper half of switch) until ROW-TRAK
starts beeping slowly (about 2 seconds) and ROW-TRAK
light begins to flash slowly.
6.
Begin harvesting.
7.
When you are in a row that will stay reasonably straight for 45 seconds, push auto engage button (A) on hydro lever. Horn will now beep faster, ROW-TRAK
light will flash faster, and tachometer will display values between "0" and "100".
8.
Continue to steer machine, maintaining probe centered on row for 45 seconds. System is learning what probe position is required to center machine on row.
9.
After 45 seconds ROW-TRAK
will sound two longer beeps. System is now in standby mode and ROW-TRAK
light starts flashing.
