1. Check primary and final fuel filters for water and sediment. Drain (or clean) if necessary.

2. Check engine oil with dipstick (A). See DIESEL ENGINE OIL in this section. Clean lint from alternator screen (not shown).

3. With row units, basket and cross auger lowered, check hydraulic oil level at sight glass (B). See HYDRAULIC/HYDROSTATIC OIL in this section.

4. Remove inspection door (C) and clean debris from fan rotor. Install door.

5. Lubricate basket cylinder and rockshaft (four places).

6. Check coolant level and add if necessary. See DIESEL ENGINE COOLANT in this section.

7. Clean accumulated lint or trash from pre-cleaner fins.

8. Clean lint and dirt from cooling cores. Remove bottom plate to clean between cooling cores if trash build-up warrants it.

9. Keep engine compartment free of trash and lint. Clean daily.

10. Rocks, wood, or debris lodged in stripping units or between cleaner laydown bar and upper saw drum can cause sparks. Be alert and inspect frequently when operating in these conditions.

11. Inspect cleaner bearings daily for signs of overheating or excessive looseness. Replace promptly.

12. Visually inspect tires.

13. Loosen knob (A), remove cover (B) and dump attached dirt tray.

14. Remove wing nut (C) and pull out fresh air filter (D).

15. Push down on pre-cleaner (E) and pull it out from the top.

16. Check hole (F) in floor under pre-cleaner for debris. Clean as necessary.

17. Wash and dry pre-cleaner. Reinstall.

18. Clean or replace fresh air filter as necessary.

IMPORTANT: Do not overtighten knob.

19. Install cover and tighten knob.

20. Wipe outside of cab roof air inlet screen (A) to remove lint and debris.

NOTE: When replacing filter, it should drop easily into place. Do not force it. Verify filter is installed with arrows towards front of machine as shown.

21. Lift out tray (A). Reach in opening and pull filter (B) out.

22. Clean or replace filter as necessary.
