Adjusting Fan Drive Belt Tension

IMPORTANT: Correct fan belt tension MUST BE maintained for proper operation and to prevent belt damage. To maintain proper belt tension, check periodically to see that spring mechanism is clean and works freely.

Cotton fan belt (A) is kept properly tensioned by spring assembly (B).

Tighten or loosen nuts until washer (C) is aligned with the end of gauge (D) for proper belt tension.
