Adjusting Strip Roll Separation and Boll Shields

Do not set strip rolls any closer than necessary to strip all cotton. Set strip roll for stalk size and field conditions, approximately 3-13 mm (1/8-1/2 in.).

2. Insert ratchet into hole (B) and move strip roll to desired position.

3. Loosen nut (A) to adjust boll shield (C). Boll shield should be in contact and parallel with lower auger bearing support (D) and in contact with cut-off angle (E).

4. Tighten nut.

5. Repeat steps 1-4 to position remaining strip rolls.

6. Adjust cut-off angles after adjusting strip rolls. (See ADJUSTING CUT-OFF ANGLES in this section.)
