Cold Weather Operation
IMPORTANT:
Damage to hydrostatic pump can occur during extreme cold weather. When cold, hydrostatic transmission oil becomes thick. Oil MUST be warmed before moving stripper. Failure to warm oil can result in machine damage. Warm the oil before moving the stripper as follows:
1.
Before starting machine, verify the following;
a.
Transmission is in neutral.
b.
Position hydro lever (A) in neutral.
c.
Place fan switch (C) and row units switch (D) in off position.
d.
Place throttle switch (B) in idle position.
2.
Start engine and operate at idle throttle for 4 minutes.
3.
With transmission still in "neutral", advance hydro lever half-way forward and operate engine at idle throttle for another 4 minutes before moving stripper.
