Preparing to Drive Machine
CAUTION:
Failure to follow safe driving procedures can result in serious injury or death to you or others. Be sure to follow the safe driving procedures.
Serious injury or death can result to you or others if machine comes in contact with overhead electrical wires when maneuvering to top off trailers or modules with basket raised. ALWAYS watch for and avoid overhead electrical wires.
Before driving the machine adjust the following:
-
seat
-
steering column
-
rear view mirrors
-
lights for maximum visibility
ALWAYS remain seated and wear your seat belt while machine is moving. Machine is equipped with a passive operators presence system. Should the operator leave the seat for more than 4 seconds, the operators presence system will immediately stop the machine and the row units and cleaner after an additional 4 seconds. (See Operators Presence System section for details).
Drive slowly over rough ground and when turning.
Check clearance before driving under electric wires, bridges, or through doorways.
Remove or lower radio antenna.
Plan ahead and stop slowly to prevent nose-diving.
Except when slowly maneuvering at a module or trailer, NEVER drive with the basket in unloading position.
NEVER transport machine with row units engaged.
