Making Proper Hose Connections
CAUTION:
Escaping fluid under pressure can penetrate the skin, causing serious injury to you or others. Avoid the hazard by relieving pressure before disconnecting hydraulic or other lines. Tighten all connections before applying pressure. Search for leaks with a piece of cardboard. Protect hands and body from high pressure fluids.
If an accident occurs, see a doctor immediately. Any fluid injected into the skin must be surgically removed within a few hours or gangrene may result.
CAUTION:
Hydraulic hoses can fail due to physical damage, kinks, age and exposure. Check hoses regularly. Replace damaged hoses.
IMPORTANT:
All hydraulic couplers must be clear of debris, dust and sand. Use protective caps on fluid openings until ready to make connection. Foreign material can damage the hydraulic system.
NOTE:
Machines with TOUCHSET Depth Control: Attachment bundle includes one hose identification kit (A) for correct connection of depth control hoses. To help identify and properly connect other hoses, additional Hose Identification Kits can be ordered from your John Deere dealer.
