Setting Single Point Depth Control

causym CAUTION: Do not adjust machine while in motion. Falling off of a moving machine can result in serious injury or death.

IMPORTANT: Make sure tractor flow control is set to fast position.

Make sure pin (B) is in OPERATING position.

1. With machine stopped and sweeps at operating depth, turn crank (A) until crank end slightly depresses valve plunger. Each full turn of crank adjusts depth setting by 5 mm (0.20 in.).

NOTE: For consistent single point performance, always move tractor control lever rapidly from neutral to lower position.

2. With machine moving forward, pull SCV I control lever (A) rearward, then push forward to confirm that machine stops lowering at desired depth setting, as shown on depth indicator.

IMPORTANT: When pressure by-pass hose is connected to open SCV, place SCV control in "float" position for precise depth control. Float position opens a low pressure drain path to relieve pressure build-up off depth control circuit.

3. NARROW FLEX-FOLD MACHINES ONLY: Immediately after machine lowers to operating depth set by single point, the wing (slave) depth control cylinders will momentarily retract an additional 6.4-19.05 mm (1/4-3/4 in.) before pressure reduction circuit relieves excess pressure.
