Attaching Machine To-John Deere 8000/9000 and 8020/9020 Series Tractors

1. Back tractor into position and attach hitch to drawbar with aid of jack (A). Be sure hitch pin is retained with locking lever.

IMPORTANT: Avoid damage to jack. Make sure handle is located on top of jack when in field position.

2. Remove L-pin.

3. Rotate jack (A) to field position with handle (B) located on top of jack.

4. Replace L-pin.

5. Turn tractor engine OFF.

IMPORTANT: Be sure to correctly connect depth control hoses to couplers, when attaching TOUCHSET Depth Control machine. If hose connections are reversed, machine will not respond to TOUCHSET controls.

6. WITH OR WITHOUT TOUCHSET: Push depth control hoses (A) into SCV I couplers. On TOUCHSET machines, be sure oil flow agrees with symbols on hose identification tag. "Extend" hose ALWAYS goes in left coupler.

7. Plug wing-fold hoses (if equipped) into SCV II couplers (B).

8. Plug hydraulic gang hoses (if equipped) into SCV III coupler (C).

IMPORTANT: If using open SCV for by-pass line, place SCV control (E) in float position when operating. Float function must be reset every time tractor engine is shutoff and re-started.

9. WITH TOUCHSET: Attach TOUCHSET wiring harness to 9-pin connector (D).

10. NARROW FLEX-FOLD MACHINES-WITHOUT HYDRAULIC GANG CONTROL: Install pressure by-pass line into open SCV or return port.

IMPORTANT: Be sure jack handle is located on top when transporting machine or damage to jack can occur.

11. Move jack (A) to transport position.
