Detaching Machine From Tractor

causym CAUTION: To help prevent severe injury or death to you or someone else:

Keep all persons away from machine when raising and lowering wings.

Always locate machine on level ground when raising and lowering wings.

Never raise or lower wings when moving.

1. Block machine wheels. With transmission in "PARK", start tractor engine and pull SCV II control lever (A) rearward to raise wings to stops. If wings do not rest against stops when fully raised, see ADJUSTING FRONT WING STOP-NARROW OR WIDE in Operating Machine section.

2. JOHN DEERE 7000, 8000/9000 and 8020/9020 SERIES TRACTORS: Pull SCV I control lever (A) rearward to fully raise machine.

3. NARROW FLEX-FOLD MACHINES: Return SCV III control (B) to neutral when by-pass line is attached to open SCV.

4. Close transport lock-up valve (A).

5. Remove jack (A) from storage position.

6. Turn handle to remove weight from drawbar.

7. Disconnect warning light plug (A) from tractor, and place harness into storage receptacle on hitch plate.

causym CAUTION: Serious personal injury can result if you attempt to disconnect hydraulic hoses under pressure.

John Deere 7000 Series Tractors: To prevent a sudden accident that could cause severe injury to you or others, shut off tractor engine and work levers back and forth before disconnecting hoses.

John Deere 8000/9000 and 8020/9020 Series Tractors: To prevent a sudden accident that could cause severe injury to you or others, place SCV II control in "neutral" position before disconnecting hoses.

8. If Wings are Folded: Before disconnecting folding cylinder hydraulic hoses, relieve pressure from wing-fold hydraulic system. Return SCV lever to neutral position before disconnecting hoses.

9. Disconnect SCV I depth control (A) and SCV II wing-fold (B) hoses from hydraulic couplers. Disconnect hydraulic gang hoses from couplers (if equipped).

10. NARROW FLEX-FOLD MACHINES ONLY: Disconnect pressure by-pass line from open SCV or return port.

11. JOHN DEERE 8000/9000 and 8020/9020 SERIES ONLY: Disconnect TOUCHSET Depth Control wiring harness 9-pin connector from receptacle (C).

12. Remove safety chain from tractor.

13. Verify wheel blocks are in place. Remove hitch pin (A) from drawbar. Drive tractor away from machine.

14. Ensure hoses are routed through U-bolt (A) on hitch plate (B) and place hose end fittings in storage slots on both sides of storage receptacle (C).
