Checking Wheel Bolts and Bearings

NOTE: Stabilizer wheels are used only on narrow, rigid-fold machines.

Check tightness of all rockshaft wheel bolts (A), stabilizer wheel bolts (B) (if equipped) and wheel bearings to specified torque during first week of operation, and periodically after that.

Specification

Stabilizer Wheel Bolts (B) -Torque 115 N·m (85 lb-ft)

To adjust wheel bearing, remove hub cap (C) and cotter pin. Raise and turn wheel. Tighten nut until there is a slight drag on bearing; back off to first hole and insert cotter pin. Replace hub cap.
