Attaching Disk Gangs to C-Spring Standards

causym CAUTION: Disk gangs are heavy and sharp and can fall or roll causing serious injury or death to you or others. To prevent gangs from falling, use suitable lifting devices or support stands. Block gangs when not rolling into place. Wear gloves and other safety equipment.

1. Position gang under standards.

2. If distance between bearings has changed, first verify gang was correctly assembled on gang bolt. If correctly assembled, loosen outer standards ONLY.

DO NOT loosen standard closest to center of disk as this standard is factory set for best disking action.

Move loosened standard to align it with bearing.

3. Attach bearing bracket (B) to standard closest to center of disk first, using round head bolts and nuts (A). Bearing is attached to standard side towards direction that dirt is thrown. Grease fitting is toward rear.

4. If inner standards were loosened, tighten lock nuts on cap screws (A-B) in a circular pattern in 1/8th turn increments to specified tightness. C-standards and brackets MUST be seated squarely on frame tube.

Tighten lock nuts on round head bolts (C) to specification.
