A-Stop Indicator

B-Caution Indicator

IMPORTANT: If STOP indicator comes on, shut down engine immediately. Determine and correct the cause before restarting engine.

STOP INDICATOR (A):

Red STOP indicator flashes when a vital system malfunctions (such as engine cooling or lubrication). A pulsed warning alarm accompanies the flashing indicator.

CAUTION INDICATOR (B):

Amber caution indicator glows when a problem develops which does not usually require immediate engine shut-down (such as a dirty air filter). A steady alarm will sound for three seconds after the indicator first appears. Observe gauges and indicators for possible cause. A maintenance check or a change in machine operation should be initiated as soon as possible.

BULB CHECK:

Turn key switch halfway between ON and START positions to light indicator bulbs. If lights do not come on, refer to REPLACING INDICATOR, MONITOR AND GAUGE LIGHT BULBS in CAB AND AIR CONDITIONING section.

WARNING ALARMS:

Machine is equipped with two warning alarms. One alarm sounds a steady tone, while the other alarm sounds a pulsing signal. The two different alarms are used to draw the operator's attention to the machine indicator or unit monitor display panel for identification of operator error or system failure.

  • STEADY ALARM sounds for three seconds when:
    • Parking brake is engaged
    • Hydraulic oil temperature is high
    • Cotton fan speed is low
    • Air filter is restricted

NOTE: If yellow caution light is already on and a second caution signal is received, indicator light will come on but the steady alarm will not sound.

  • PULSED ALARM sounds when:
    • Parking brake is engaged and hydro lever is moved out of neutral
    • Engine oil pressure is low
    • Engine coolant temperature is high
    • Unit monitor activates
