IMPORTANT:
Use only one stroke of hand grease gun to prevent seal damage.
1.
Lubricate front and rear fan bearings.
|
2.
Lubricate fan linkage, bell crank and idler pivot.
|

3.
Lubricate picking unit cross shafts.
|

4.
Lubricate final drive axle outer bearings (two places).
5.
Clean battery connections if corroded.
|
6.
Lubricate hydrostatic universal joint.
|

7.
Lower row units to the ground to remove weight from turnbuckle. Lubricate unit lift turnbuckle (four places).
8.
Lubricate final drive axle couplers (four places). (Six places on skip row.)

9.
Lubricate unit support frame rollers, two per unit.

Lubricate guide axle and pivot (eight places).

11.
If grease type gear case equipped, remove plug (A) and check lubricant level. Lubricant should be level with bottom of plug hole. Add lubricant if needed. See ROW UNIT GEAR CASE LUBRICANT-GREASE TYPE in this section.

Remove plug (A) to check transmission fluid level. Fluid should be level with the bottom of plug hole. Add lubricant if needed. See TRANSMISSION AND FINAL DRIVE LUBRICANT in this section.
