Adjusting Moistener Column Position

IMPORTANT: To ensure proper adjustment, the moistener column door MUST be closed and handle latched. Remove the inspection door in front of the moisture column being adjusted in order to see the moisture pad/spindle relationship.

1. Rotate drum so spindles are just exiting the moistener pads.

2. Loosen door latch stop cap screws at top (A) and bottom (B).

3. Move door in or out until first fin (A) of each pad aligns halfway up on its respective dust collar (B).

4. Tighten door latch stop cap screws.

5. Adjust moistener column height. See ADJUSTING MOISTENER COLUMN HEIGHT in this section.
