Checking Doffer Column Height

IMPORTANT: Operating with doffer column adjusted too low will result in excessive doffer pad, spindle bushing, and barb wear. If doffer column is adjusted too high, spindles WILL NOT doff properly. DO NOT operate without doffer column properly adjusted.

To verify proper doffer column height adjustment do the following:

2. Check to make sure there is slight drag between spindle and doffer.

NOTE: Verify air and moistener systems are operating properly and correct moistener solution is being used before adjusting doffer column height.
