Cleaning Primary Element
CAUTION:
Compressed air can cause dust and debris to become airborne which can cause serious injury to you or others by striking eyes or unprotected areas. Reduce compressed air to less than 210 kPa (2.1 bar) (30 psi) when using for cleaning purposes. Clear area of bystanders. Guard against flying chips and wear personal protection equipment including eye protection.

Pat sides of element (A) gently to loosen dirt. DO NOT tap element against a hard surface.

Clean element with compressed air using a John Deere AR62377 Dry Element Cleaner Gun (B). Hold nozzle next to inner surface and move up and down pleats.
3.
Repeat steps 1 and 2 to remove additional dirt.
4.
Inspect element before reinstalling. If element is still coated with oil or soot, see WASHING PRIMARY ELEMENT in this section.
